Tsa-La-Gi LA
Satellite Community Welcomes You!
Join us! Embrace your heritage, show your pride, and strengthen our organization. You are invited to participate in this new satellite community for Cherokees in Los Angeles County. The organization is chartered by the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma and will serve as the “official” point of connection between the Cherokee Nation and its citizens in this area. Members will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about Cherokee language, culture and history
- Receive accurate information about present issues facing the Cherokee Nation and its citizens
- Join the Cherokee Community in activities and fellowship.
Our group is dedicated to preserving Cherokee history, culture, mythology, heritage, tradition and fellowship. We are a non-political and non-religious organization.
Membership
- The annual fee is $30 for an individual and $40 for each household. The membership year begins July 1st of each year.
- July is the anniversary month for yearly dues and the membership fee is prorated if dues are received after July. If joining in a month other than July, please refer to the chart on the reverse side for the prorated amount.
- Household members over eighteen (18) years of age are eligible to vote for Council members.
- Members may receive upon request a copy of the by-laws and member roster. Members will receive six issues of the newsletter and the opportunity to attend bi-monthly meetings and have access to special programs.

You are welcome to attend one of our bi-monthly meetings which are scheduled on the second Saturday of each odd numbered month from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (i.e., January, March, May, July, etc.).
